This is the best Restaurant we have visited in Galle Fort. The waiter was very welcoming and helpful. The Chef came and spoke to us to check that our food was OK. It was exceptional. My husband had the beef tenderloin which was really tender and I had the Garlic prawns which were hot and tasty. Would highly recommend.

We visited the restaurant close to closing time, and they graciously welcomed us despite the late hour.Drinks:We started with the Tamarind and Melon cocktail, which had a delightful kick. It was so good we wished we had time for another round!Food:Though a prawn-based curry wasn’t on the menu, they kindly prepared one on request. The dish arrived with an array of vegetable curries, sambol, and sides—all served as part of one platter! It offered a bit of everything, making it ideal for someone with a decent appetite, though it was plenty for the two of us to share. The flavors were exceptional, and even the vegetables were as enjoyable as the prawns—a rare win for her preferences! This dish is a must-try.Ambiance & Service:The service was impeccable, and the ambiance was warm and inviting. We’d love to return for another meal.Washroom: 5/5

Very nice dinner indeed, the curries were fantastic (black pork and chicken), all very reasonably priced, especially given the place, ambience and fantastic service, the latter being funny, efficient and attentive, wines were also priced OK for Sri Lanka, all in all a superb evening.

Great curries- didn’t feel heavy after having a lot of curry! Recommend getting the black pork!

Excellent service, really really good food, especially the pad thai and the desserts are to die for. The chicken milanese was okay, its quite tough and dry, but the sauce was good. The waiter & waitress are very attentive and helpful, like they really care about the restaurant. Really nice interior design too, touché we didnt stay at the hotel, cause it looks so comfortable.

Amazing food, we both shared the black pork and the food was delicious. Felt so good afterwards too, much lighter than I've ever felt after such a large amount of food! Was a very clean meal with not too much fat. Wasn't the cheapest of places around Galle but worth it in my opinion

Stopped in for a couple of cocktails on my way back to the hotel )Fort Printers - excellent). Cocktails here were well prepared and delicious. The restaurant looked really expensive but the cocktails, whilst on the pricey side, were not too costly and they were great.

During our recent visit to Church Street Social in Galle, we had an unforgettable dining experience, elevated by exceptional service and a charming atmosphere.I started with the Black Pork Curry, which was bursting with bold, authentic Sri Lankan flavours. The tender pork was perfectly spiced, making it a true standout dish. I paired this with a refreshing Bazaar Breeze cocktail and another creative drink from their impressive menu. My wife opted for the Ceylon Spiced Tuna Pizza, a delightful fusion of crisp crust and vibrant, local flavours. She paired it with the tangy and revitalising Passion Lemonade, which was as refreshing as it was delicious. The desserts were the crowning glory of the evening. We indulged in three exceptional choices: the Wattalapam, a rich and indulgent Sri Lankan classic; the Coconut Cheesecake, offering a delightful tropical twist; and the Caramel Pumpkin Pie, which was perfectly spiced. The Coconut Crème Brûlée, with its delicate caramelised top and creamy, fragrant centre, was a true masterpiece. The staff were absolutely brilliant—attentive, friendly, and genuinely committed to ensuring we had a perfect evening. Their professionalism and warm hospitality made us feel truly welcome and added a special touch to the overall experience. With its incredible food, imaginative drinks, stunning presentation, and impeccable service, Church Street Social is a must-visit for anyone in Galle. We’ll certainly be returning on our next trip!
